Hazel is a special girl. She is our first Yakutian Laika and one of our two foundation bitches that are the formation of our kennel. She was our introduction to the sport of Conformation, and now SprintDog in which she has a title in both.
Hazel has won 3 baby puppy Best of Breeds against her siblings, 12 Best of Breed and 3 Puppy in Group's in a row in her show career so far under international and Australian judges.
Hazel has also begun her career in sports with her entrance into SprintDog, a newly recognised sport within Australia, known as FastCAT in America. Hazel is the first Yakutian Laika in Australia to earn a title in SprintDog, and is the first Yakutian Laika to earn a title in sports, with her siblings and sire following closely after her.
At the current point in time, Hazel is the fastest Yakutian Laika in the country with a time of 40kmph covering 100m in 9 seconds. However, how long she remains the fastest is anyones guess as all of these wonderful dogs continue to get faster and faster with each trial.
