Our journey with pedigree dogs starts before getting our first Yakutian Laika. We had wanted to enter the sport of conformation for the previous 5 years, but never had any luck finding a suitable mentor who was willing to allow us to enter the sport and teach us the ropes.

That was until May, a close friend of ours and now kennel partner, recommended we try getting into contact with MydnytBlue (now known as RushinRound) who we had met through her several years prior when they had just whelped a litter of Pedigree German Shepherd puppies.

At the time they had just imported 3 Yakutian Laika, a bitch from Russia, a dog from Poland and a bitch from Slovenia. We arranged to go and meet them and their dogs and were able to meet two of the imports after Rundogs Idealnaya Mechta was sent to New South Wales to live with Brashawin Kennels. From that moment, we knew that the Yakutian Laika breed was for us. 

We have since learned so much about showing, genetics, pedigrees, structure and have been quite successful with our dogs, and not without putting in so much hard work to achieve what we have. We are eager to further prove our dogs in sports as more become available to them, and to continue down the road of health testing and improvements to the breed. 

Our two foundation bitches both come from kennels who were willing to give us a shot, and entrusted us with our wonderful girls and we couldn't be more grateful not just for our girls, but for the mentorship, community and guidance we received along the way.
